Today was a 3 mile fartlek around Memorial Park. Basically you run 30 seconds fast, 30 seconds medium. For me that meant about sub 5 or 4:50 pace fast and 5:30 or 5:20 pace medium. The last time I did this, I ended up finishing in about 16:40 something. The following Saturday I ran a 15:43 5k.
