What is a Big Running Engine?

The name big running engine comes from comments I heard from famed distance running coach and former American running great Alberto Salazar. He basically said the "perfect" distance runner would be like a Formula 1 race car. They would have a light frame but a big powerful engine. The legs represent the engine and the body represents the frame (Think of Kenenisa Bekele or Haile Gebreselassie). I enjoyed the analogy and decided to use it for the name of this blog.
